Zsa Zsa Gabor’s leg will be amputated

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s doctors believe the infection in her leg has gotten so bad, the only way to stop it from spreading to vital organs is to amputate a significant part of her limb.

Prince Frederic von Anhalt, her husbands hope that only a small portion of her leg will need to be amputated but the entire leg may need to be removed depending on how much is infected.

The 93 year old may have the surgery by the end of the week. She had a scan yesterday.

The Hungarian-born actress has been in declining health since July, when she broke her hip, and was later hospitalized with blood clots.

She was given the last rites in August and taken home after declining further surgery.

Gabor was taken back to hospital on Sunday, January 2, after insisting on spending New Year’s Eve at home.
