Lindsay Lohan may be going to jail

Lindsay Lohan may be going to jail today for violating her DUI probation. Judge Marsha Revel has been hearing testimony from the alcohol ed people today. They have admitted Lindsay violated the judge’s command to attend classes at least once a week.

Lindsay not only did not attend the program, she missed it 9 times. With excuses documented all over the media, the officials from the Right On program never notified the judge.

Prosecutor Danette Meyers is apparently asking Judge Marsha Revel to send Lindsay Lohan to jail for 30 days for violating her probation.

Meyers has been on the attack today, arguing not only that Lindsay repeatedly violated probation by not attending alcohol ed classes at regular intervals, but also that the program was covering for her.

In addition, Meyers told the judge during Lindsay’s probation violation hearing that she witnessed Lindsay drinking after the MTV Movie Awards when her SCRAM bracelet showed a positive reading for alcohol. This could be enough to constitute a violation of her probation sending her to jail. Judge Marsha Revel initially said drinking in and of itself was not a violation of probation — it was just a bail restriction. Meyers argued under the terms of Lindsay’s probation, she was required to obey all rules and regulations of the court, and no drinking was one of the rules. The judge seemed somewhat sympathetic to Meyers’ argument.

Lets be honest, how many other people would get away with violating a judge’s order in the way that Lindsay has done. She has been all over the news night hopping, dancing and partying yet does not seem to be able to go to class once a week. Maybe she needs a little jail time to figure out how to follow rules.
