The one-year anniversary was held at the end of the week with a special tribute by Chris Brown performed a Michael Jackson tribute on the BET awards ending the week’s festivities. Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones, who, along with Michael, masterminded the original version in 1985, have confirmed that the King of Pop’s original vocals and footage would be used in the song and video. The D.A. alleges Dr. Murray “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson … in the commission of an unlawful act … and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death, in an unlawful manner, and without due caution”.
